Quantity Surveyor Apprentice

As part of this apprenticeship, you will work closely with your line manager to assist in the commercial administration, reporting and performance on DCWW’s Delivery Programme. You will be completing s degree in Quantity Surveying.

Examples of work include;

  • Provide support for day-to-day tasks on project delivery and demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised on occasions. 
  • Attending construction sites to carry out assessment of work done. 
  • Preparation and validation of target costs and budget estimates.
  • Assist in the administration of contracts and works packages including, interim assessments, certification and change management.
  • Assist in the management of change in accordance with the form of contract, including the production and submission of Compensation Event Quotations and the maintenance of detailed schedules of value.
  • Using systems knowledge to generate regular financial reports
  • Supporting in production of tender documentation.
  • Support risk and value management where applicable. 
     

The length of this programme is 5 years. To apply for this role you must have an acceptable Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics (GCSE with grade C/4 or above and Functional Skills with Pass. You must also have one of the following qualifications and grades: A Levels (minimum of one B and two grade C) or BTEC Extended Diploma (minimum grades Distinction, Merit, Merit) or an HND.
