What you’ll be responsible for
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for operating Water Treatment Works and associated water pumping stations to company BMS and Health & Safety requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Controlling chemical and other stock levels and consumables by control and management of purchasing via SAP. Monitoring and controlling expenditure to meet budgetary targets.
- Inducting, supervising and managing outside contractors carrying out revenue and reactive capital maintenance breakdowns and projects ensuring full compliance to Health & Safety and BMS requirements and ensuring quality control.
- To liaise with ME&I craftsmen on revenue and reactive capital maintenance work.
- Liaising and planning work with network supervisors and operatives to ensure uninterrupted supply when plant shut downs are required for maintenance and other associated work required on site
- Participating in arrangements and cover for annual leave and sickness for area of operation.
- Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

About you
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or higher, BTEC, ONC/HNC qualifications in Water
- Experience gained in the industry to ensure full compliance and adherence to all H&S issues
- Computer systems literate including SAP, Scope X, Exchange, Word and Excel
- Awareness of regulatory bodies such as DWI and Environment Agency/NRW
- Dealing with control of abstraction under licence at raw water intakes
- Dealing with discharge consent licence for all environmental discharges

- A company vehicle will be provided.
- The successful candidate will be required to participate in a standby rota.
