What you’ll be responsible for


As a Pressure Management & Data Operability Inspector you will:


  • Play a key role in the delivery of DCWW’s annual PRV Servicing target – undertaking and supporting contract partners with major and minor PRV services.
  • Undertake meter and data logger maintenance tasks to support the company’s Data Operability target.
  • Carry out pressure management initiatives to optimise DCWW’s water network. 
  • Perform network valving operations to support planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure that your work is undertaken with a focus on Health & Safety and is effectively managed to minimise any impact on DCWW customers.
  • Support investigations through the deployment and retrieval of pressure and flow loggers to enable network analysis and accurate reporting.

  • The Leakage Delivery Team, Distribution, the Water Network Alliance, Capital and all such contract partners associated with these work streams.
  • DCWW customers.

About you


The following experience, qualifications and skills are required:


  • A full current driving licence.
  • An understanding of water industry processes with an appreciation for one or more of the following activities: pressure management, data operability, leakage, water distribution.
  • Willingness to work individually or as part of a team, understanding the importance of ownership, collaboration and accountability.
  • Enthusiasm to develop existing skills to become proficient with mechanical and digital assets.
  • Be flexible with regard to working patterns and locations to meet business needs.
  • An understanding of Microsoft Office applications and a capacity to make use of DCWW IT systems.
  • The ability to develop positive working relationships within the Leakage Delivery Team, contract partners and colleagues across the wider business.
  • The ability to deal with customer in a professional manner, promoting a positive image of DCWW at all times.

Good to know


  • The working hours for this role are 8am - 4pm. 
  • This position is subject to participation in the Distribution Standby Rota.
  • The role is subject to DCWW’s Planned Work Time Agreement.
  • A DCWW van is provided with this position.
  • All relevant training will be provided.
  • The Eastern Delivery Area covers Herefordshire, mid-Wales and Gwent.
