What you’ll be responsible for
As a Cafe Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising the Front of House and Kitchen in Chef’s absence and ensure excellent customer service is delivered whilst maintaining a safe environment for all persons on site.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring the safety of all persons on site
2. Ordering goods for resale, supplies from designated suppliers
3. Maintaining upkeep of all HACCP records at all times and to the required standard
4. Supporting the kitchen in preparing, cooking and serving meals.
5. Managing and organising café assistants to deliver high quality customer service
6. Supervising and identifying training needs of colleagues to ensure excellent customer service
7. Striving to develop and improve the customer experience offering
8. Ensuring the service in the café and retail area is maintained to a high standard
9. Engaging with customers as an ambassador of Welsh Water
10. Maintaining the food hygiene standards, upkeep and tidiness of the kitchen, retail and café, meeting room areas in accordance with Welsh Water Food safety procedures
11. Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business

You will work with internal Visitor centre staff and External Members of public.
About you
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Current Food Hygiene Level 3 minimum certification
- Satisfactory DBS check
- Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day
- Commercial catering and kitchen supervisory experience
- Catering/Retail customer service knowledge or specialism
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
