Name: Ahmed Zayyad

Position at Welsh Water: Graduate

Area of the business you work in: Water Assets

Why did you apply for the Welsh Water graduate programme?

When I reached the end of my studies, I wanted to take my knowledge and help apply it somewhere I knew would make a healthy and positive difference to the masses. Welsh Water stood out for me because of the nature in which the company operates with regards to the lack of shareholders and the resolving drive to improve quality in service delivery. The not-for-profit model also served as an assuring factor that the company solely existed to serve the benefit of customers and the environment.

What have you enjoyed most about the Welsh Water graduate programme?

From the little time that I have spent in Welsh Water thus far, the most striking factor that I have come to realise and like about the company is the collective sense of responsibility and care in all that is done. Everyone is supportive to the best of their ability. No one is left alone or behind.

What would you say to anyone thinking about applying for the programme? If you wish to work in a place where no two days are the same and have the zeal to work amongst skilled and supportive team members delivering reliable service to customers; then this is the place for you. APPLY TODAY!

Also, if you have any interesting stories, hobbies, backgrounds etc. it would be great to know. Currently, I am dabbling in code. I want to be a capable coding expert. I am soon due to undertake the internal Statistics Training & Analytics in 'R' (STAIR) course.
