Give an overview of your role and what it entails: My role involves managing a small team in the office of Customer Resolution Officers, officers and technicians who support a team of colleagues out in the field. My team schedule work for the officers in the field, as well as processing notifications of proposed works. In addition, the team offers advice and guidance to both internal colleagues and external stakeholders and customers.

How long have you worked here? Just coming up to 12 months (I started on 1st April 2019).

 

What do you enjoy most about your role?

My role enables me to interact with many different people both internally within Welsh Water and externally to the business. I have found myself working with colleagues from water production, water distribution, water quality and legal, and find that everyone I work with is friendly and always willing to help.

 

What would you say to anyone thinking about working for Welsh Water?

Working for Welsh Water gives you a diverse workload even working within your own department, due to the size and nature of the business. The benefits package is excellent, and Welsh Water are very hot on things like health and safety, employee engagement and the wellbeing of employees. I can see that there are opportunities to move around the business and progress into senior roles for someone who is keen to learn and move about.
