Graduate Technical Development Programme
The Technical Development Programme aims to increase your technical ability throughout your two years on the programme. This will then allow you to successfully enter a key technical role in the business following completion of your graduate programme.
This route offers an excellent opportunity to access extensive technical training opportunities via external training courses and on the job training. There is also the opportunity to develop your soft skills along the way. This is the route for you if you have a keen interest in taking on a technical role post-graduation and wish to consolidate the skills you have learned at university and develop them even further. You will learn from experienced people within the business by working with them on key projects throughout your time on the programme.
Currently we offer a range of technical development programmes including Civil Engineering, Control Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Economics and Financial Regulation.
The technical programme consists of the following training and development opportunities...
(1) Technical competency training tailored to your area of expertise.
(2) Soft skills training – you will take part in a number of soft skills workshops during your time on the programme. This includes the following workshops:

- Personal Branding
- Time Management
- Problem Solving
- Managing Difficult Conversations
- Project Management
Managing Director Forums
You will be invited to take part in quarterly round table forums with our business area MDs. Here you will get the opportunity to discuss key business developments and strategies and will also get the opportunity to ask questions.
Teambuilding and fundraising opportunities
You will be given the opportunity to work on fundraising and event organisation projects with your fellow graduates. This will allow you to develop your interpersonal and leadership skills.
Structured projects
You will be given the opportunity to work on key business projects with specific deliverables. These projects will give you the opportunity to develop significant experience which will enhance your CV.
