What you’ll be responsible for

 


As a Business and Compliance Coordinator, you will be the operational site point of contact in relation to the procurement, administration, reporting, and audit preparation and leadership.

You will ensure that all health and safety, and environmental procedures are maintained in line with ISO accreditations, circulated and complied with, and will assist with supporting documentation regarding environmental and planning compliance requirements. 

You will contribute to the accurate and efficient operation of the site weighbridge function, and support reporting functions including the provision of extracted data analysis for both internal and external use.
 

 

In addition to the functions listed above your role will include:

1.    Analyse data from different systems and sources, creating reports for senior management team.
2.    Act as a trouble shooting / problem solver to site technical and administrative issues. 
3.    Manage IMS processes and procedures in line with any changes or identified weaknesses, including proactive management of the WWOE Corrective Action Register and report findings to senior management team. 
4.    Act as Quality Manager for ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and PAS110 standards acting as designated point of contact for all internal and external audits.  
5.    Ensure compliance with all contract and regulatory requirements including calibration, servicing, and maintenance of site equipment, including but not limited to the Weighbridge, Gas Monitors, Odour Control System.
6.    Support the Food Waste facility to meet compliance in association with external regulatory bodies.
7.    Ensure that all necessary records are maintained to satisfy internal and external audits, to support and direct teams in preparing for certification audits, to liaise with auditors and compliance officers, responding to recommendations and observations, ensuring robust continuous improvement.
8.    Management of purchasing records including tracking purchases and ensuring on time delivery and efficient resource levels. This will include identifying areas of under/overspend and highlighting to the management team areas for potential savings.
9.    Engage with existing and new suppliers always maintaining strong working relationships whilst identifying and communicating methods for ensuring business continuity, specialist advice/services, service improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
10.    Monitoring of consumables, chemicals, and fuel stock levels as appropriate, communicating schedules and planned usages to suppliers to ensure stock is held in line with business needs.
11.    Lead development & primary point of contact for management of the WWI Sharepoint system.
12.    Coordinate and plan mandatory training requirements and provide coaching support to site operators and team leaders to ensure compliance in line with training matrix.
13.    Participate, contribute to, and lead in project work as necessary.
14.    Report, review, analyse health and safety data for Welsh Water Organic Energy.

About you

 

Qualifications

  • HNC or equivalent in relevant discipline, or similar level of professional experience 
  • Integrated Management Systems (IMS) foundation certificate, or experience of ISO standards management within a professional workplace (for the purpose of workplace auditing)

 

Experience

  • Experience in managing and collating documentation relating to all ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and PAS110 to maintain quality standards for our department
  • Experience in acting as a Quality Manager for ISO standards 
  • Ability to identify non-compliance and recommend outcomes to senior management to close gaps 
  • Self-managing workload and adapting to changing priorities
  • Accurate data analysis and data modelling
  • Previous experience in usage of SCADA or alternative control system architectures - desirable

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day
  • High level of IT Literacy – ideally including Sharepoint, Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
     

Good to know

 

The base location for this role will be on site at the Anaerobic Digestion Facility, Tide Field Road, Tremorfa, Cardiff.
