What you’ll be responsible for

 

  1. Ensure the safety of all persons on site
  2. Order all kitchen and goods for resale supplies from designated suppliers.
  3. Maintain upkeep of all kitchen HACCP records at all times and to required standard.
  4. Prepare, cook and serve meals, manage and organise café assistants to deliver high quality customer service.
  5. Menu creation and design to achieve and maximise Gross Margin.
  6. Liaise with and manage external bookings of meeting rooms.
  7. Manage the front of house team to ensure excellent customer experience.
  8. Supervise and identify training needs of colleagues to ensure excellent customer service.
  9. Strive to develop and improve the customer experience 
  10. Ensure the service in the café and restaurant area is maintained to a high standard
  11. Maintain the food hygiene standards, upkeep and tidiness of the kitchen, retail and restaurant areas in accordance with DCWW Food safety procedures.
  12. Engage with customers as an ambassador of Welsh Water

About you

 

The following experience & skills are essential:

-Commercial catering and kitchen supervisory experience    
-Practical health & safety and food safety experience in a visitor attraction or retail or restaurant environment    
-Catering / Retail customer service knowledge or specialism    
-Working with the general public    
-Ability to communicate effectively in English    
-Ability to work on own initiative, and manage a large team    
-Commercial awareness
