Water has a deep historic and cultural connection with communities in Wales. Over three million people and businesses across Wales and parts of Herefordshire depend on Dwr Cymru Welsh Water for a plentiful supply of clean drinking water and wastewater treatment services. As the only not-for-profit water company in England and Wales, employing approx. 9,000 people directly and through our supply chain, and with a £4.2bn capital investment programme over the next five years, supporting over 140,000 of our most vulnerable customers with additional financial support, our impact on our customers and communities we serve is huge – for public health, the health of our environment and the health of our economy.

The Role

As Chief Executive, you will bring visionary leadership, a deep commitment to public service, and a track record of delivering change at scale in an infrastructure company which is heavily regulated. With exceptional strategic and stakeholder skills, you’ll inspire our people and partners to improve performance and to deliver for customers, communities, and the environment. The role requires an exceptional candidate, with a clear record of delivering first class service through a period of change, whilst always remaining committed to delivering the best possible service for our customers and communities.
