What you’ll be responsible for
Given the nature of the business, it is essential that ITS provides reliable and resilient IT services within a 24x7x365 environment to support operational requirements. This will include:
- Lead the development of the Enterprise Architecture response to business vision and as directed by the Enterprise Architecture Lead
- Work alongside fellow Enterprise and Solution Architects, in covering all solutions deployed in the DCWW Enterprise
- Support the delivery of the Programme of work for the current AMP, maintaining Architectural representation at the Programme Management level, maintaining a clear view of architectural debt accrued
- Act as a trusted adviser to the business on technology vendor and solution decision to meet the business demand
- Work effectively with the Technical Architecture team to ensure alignment with roadmaps for underlying platforms
- Develop appropriate procedures, road maps and strategies to support the services provided by ITS
- Develop a strategy for future AMP periods to ensure all solutions have a clear roadmap that responds to business vision
- Analyse technology trends and develop an architectural response supporting agility and cost effectiveness
- Fully support the Architecture Repository to collate documentation for your area, using the tooling directed by the Enterprise Architecture Lead
- Provide high level strategic advice for future investment in ICT systems and processes to support business objectives
- Develop ICT architectures, standards and principles for the organisation that support the implementation of the ICT strategy
- Translate business practices and processes into architectures to enable delivery of appropriate solutions
- Undertake high level research, horizon scanning and analysis to identify future technology trends, and assess applicability to support business objectives
- Support of the Enterprise Architecture Lead and Head of Strategy and Innovation in delivery of Strategic Change sessions in directing the Architecture Schedule of Work
- Support the Enterprise Architecture Lead in developing the Architecture Schedule of Work, in support of current AMP delivery, and plans for future AMP periods
- Manage any budgets assigned in accordance with financial and contract procedures and rules
- Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business

About you
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience of managing technical teams in a part-outsourced IT contract environment
- Experience of leading complex technology programmes of work
- Experience of managing in a 24*7*365 environment
- Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day
- Demonstrable understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles and what is required to introduce an effective capability
- Up to date knowledge of technologies to support the business.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills

Requirement to participate in the out of hours service provision
Hybrid working – in the office as need dictate (generally 1-2 days per week). Monday to Friday
