What you’ll be responsible for
As a sewerage operative, you will be required to deal with our initial customer response to sewerage incidents across the business area, undertaking all aspects of sewerage network maintenance both reactively and planned, working within a shift rota as well as participating in standby rota to deliver exceptional customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to customer reported incidents and clearing blockages/jetting and providing detailed feedback on actions taken
- Sewer network inspections (including Sewer connections)
- Sewer location surveys
- Jetting/Flushing/De-silting of Sewers/Lone Working
- Planned and reactive maintenance of assets
- Liaison with customers and stakeholders
- Person entry
- Ability to operate and assess asset condition utilising looksee CCTV equipment
- Cleaning up affected area following flooding events
- Surface water rebate inspections
- You will be expected to comply with all current Health & Safety legislation and carry out your own risk assessments
- You will receive job instructions via an electronic work management system and be expected to provide detailed feedback via the same route

About you
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Full Driving Licence C1 & CE

- A company vehicle will be provided
- The successful candidate will be required to participate in a standby rota
- C1 and CE drivers licence is required.
