What you’ll be responsible for

 

  • To display food items and maintain counter stock to maximise income.
  • Ensure that tables are kept clean and available for customers to use.
  • General cleaning duties within the kitchen, café, and storage areas.
  • To serve customers in a polite and enthusiastic manner.
  • To operate the till.
  • Assist with food preparation / cooking before and during service periods 
  • To comply with Food Hygiene and H&S regulations
  • To follow company procedures and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment. 
  • To ensure a courteous, efficient, cafe service is provided and that at every opportunity all site facilities are promoted to encourage all visitors to make full 

Who you’ll work with

 

Internal:

  • Visitor Centre staff 
  • Rangers 

 

External:

  • The public 
  • Local residents use of all facilities to maximise income via the cafe as well as encouraging bookings for events etc.

About you

 

  • Some experience in the catering industry desirable. 
  • Food Hygiene certificate desirable, but training can be provided. 
  • Ability to work under own initiative. 
  • Experience working with the general public. 
  • Customer service knowledge

Good to know

 

A satisfactory DBS check will be required prior to start date for all successful applicants
