What you’ll be responsible for

As a Hydraulic Modeller, you will need to demonstrate strong communication skills alongside technical expertise and project management capabilities to ensure that we effectively prioritise workload and deliver valuable outputs. You will provide modelling support to various business functions ensuring their modelling requirements are met.


The role holder will:
 

  1. Play a key role in the management of the Hydraulic Model Library, providing a governance role to the process throughout DCWW framework consultants.
  2. Liaise with relevant internal departments and external framework partners / contractors.
  3. Provide modelling support to internal stakeholders, including Developer Services, Waste Water Assets and Operations.
  4. Produce and review technical reports supporting modelling activities with option assessment of interventions.
  5. Promote innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across current processes.
  6. Possess strong data analysis skills and organisation skills.

About you

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills 
 

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Science or other relevant analytical subject 
  • Knowledge of waste water network and treatment processes 
  • Experience and working knowledge in waste water Hydraulic Modelling, preferably InfoWorks ICM 
  • Ability to promote innovation and supportive of industry leading solutions 
  • Ability to manage projects effectively and efficiently 
  • Ability to manage effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to achieve business results 
  • Ability to use initiative in day-to-day tasks, particularly in problem solving 
  • Must be able to perform under pressure with the ability to deliver on time and within budget 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ability to travel and work flexibly as job requires
