What you’ll be responsible for
- Deliver outstanding customer service, welcoming every visitor and ensuring they enjoy a safe and memorable experience.
- Support the delivery of bike hire and maintenance, including assisting with instructor‑led activities where required.
- Manage the hire of activity equipment, providing confident, accurate safety briefings to all customers.
- Work proactively as part of a team to set up, maintain and pack down on‑site facilities, offering hands‑on support to visitors using equipment.
- Collaborate with partner organisations, including wildlife charities and volunteer groups, to support shared initiatives.
- Maintain a safe environment for all visitors and staff, following company procedures and reporting any incidents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Handle customer check‑ins, activity enquiries and bookings, including taking payments and offering clear, helpful guidance.
- Represent Welsh Water professionally, demonstrating enthusiasm, strong product knowledge and a consistently positive attitude.
- Ensure activity equipment is well‑maintained, secure and clean, helping exceed customer expectations and ensuring availability throughout the season.
- Work alongside the Ranger team on reservoir safety, biosecurity and general site upkeep such as litter picking, toilet cleaning and basic maintenance.
- Enforce site and waterside rules, including no unauthorised swimming, opening/closing procedures and safe movement of visitors during busy periods.
- Support conservation, education, public access and recreational events, contributing to open days and community activities.
Additionally:
Be flexible in supporting wider business needs, which may include assisting other departments such as the café or Ranger team when required.

Good to know
This role is a temporary 4 day contract from March to September 2026. These 4 days can be flexible to suit the right candidate and business needs. Busiest days are weekends and bank holidays. Opportunities may be available to extend contract. Looking for someone to start beginning of March 2026.
