Apprentices

Our apprenticeship programme has many opportunities across our Water and Wastewater teams as well as our Contact Centre, and Support Services.

Our apprenticeships differ in requirements, location and length depending on the programme you apply for and we work with a number of great training providers to deliver apprenticeships.

We are very proud to offer a starting salary for our apprenticeships of £17,000*

If you are thinking of becoming an apprentice, we know that you’ll have lots of questions.  Here are a few key things you need to remember when you apply:

  • Each role will call for specific qualifications, but all roles will need you to have GCSEs or equivalent in the core subjects at grade C or above.
  • Applying for our apprenticeship programme is like applying for one of our jobs, so you will need to complete an application form. This is where you can talk about yourself, what makes you stand out and why the apprenticeship programme you are applying for is of special interest to you.
  • Applicants are assessed in several different ways and we refresh the assessment process yearly.  What an apprentice did last year may not be the same as this year.
