During your apprenticeship, you will work with like-minded, passionate people who work across our business to deliver clean water to our customers and take dirty water and sewage away, then treat it before returning it to our beautiful environment.

If you join our team, we’ll provide you with a buddy to help you learn new skills and achieve your formal qualifications.  You will also have an induction and additional training that is aligned to the role you will undertake.

Our apprenticeships differ in requirements, location and length depending on the programme you apply for and we work with a number of great training providers to deliver apprenticeships.

We are very proud to offer a starting salary above the national apprentice minimum wage for all of our apprenticeships and trainee programmes of £23,142*

If you are thinking of becoming an apprentice, we know that you’ll have lots of questions.  Here are a few key things you need to remember when you apply:

  • Each role will call for specific qualifications, but all roles will need you to have a minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English at grade C or above.
  • Applying for our apprenticeship programme is like applying for one of our jobs, so you will need to upload a CV and covering letter to our careers portal. This is where you can talk about yourself, what makes you stand out and why the apprenticeship programme you are applying for is of special interest to you.
  • If you are successful in the application process, you will likely be invited along to an assessment centre where you’ll need to complete an interview as well as a group activity.
